Ya know I wasn't going to post this story on my blog, but because I am more and more pissed off about it everyday I just had too. Me and my family attended a "BABIES" B-Day party over the past weekend, and "Babies" being the keyword. Well, the party was very nice, everyone was having alot of fun - laughing, eating etc. Until the end of the party at "gift time" this is when all HELL broke loose. Now anyone that has kids or is around kids will know you have jump hoops to keep other children away from the guest of honor when they are opening up there B-Day gifts/toys. Well, at this party the baby received one of those cool ride on toys. OK, anyone that knows my nephew knows that anything resembling a car is like us seeing a million dollars laying in the street. However, we kept him away from the toy for as long as we could until someone nicely said that he could ride it. Well, he was happy as could be at this point riding it back and forth. He then rides this little toy into a corner where the guest of honor was being held by one of the other adults. So he stayed there for awhile with the 2 of them. The adult was telling the baby to press the horn on the little car so he could see how it would light up... But every time she said that to the baby, my nephew would cover the horn with his hand so the baby couldn't press it. Now was that nice of him to do? Of course not. However he ONLY turned 3 a mere 2 weeks ago so he doesn't know any better, and he still has not picked up on the concept of what it is to "share". Don't get me wrong, my nephew is Spoiled with a capital S, and is use to getting everything he wants. But all this was very innocent. So after he covered the horn about 3 times. and I mean it couldn't be more then 3 times because it was no more then 5 minutes that he was even in that corner. My sister gets up to tell him to Stop. Well, out of NO where comes the father of the baby literally cutting my sister off to get into the corner where they are. He gets down on his knees so to get face to face with my nephew, and proceeds to put his BIG finger in his little face and very sternly and very scary if I was a baby and says "IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO SHARE THEN YOUR GETTING OFF THIS TOY" now you would think that was bad enough for him to do but Noooooooooooo. He then grabs the sides of both my nephews arms and lifts him up by his shoulders taking him off the toy. Well, it felt as if the entire room went silent because all parties that were in that corner had there mouths dragging on the floor in disbelief. Apparently, no one taught this man about children etiquette. because you NEVER reprimand let alone grab someone Else's child. My nephew was left there standing and staring at the floor because he didn't know what the Hell just happened, and then he started to cry. Me and my family got up and walked out. Some people say that we should have said something. But ya know what, I don't regret not saying anything before I left. We were not about to stoop to his level and start an argument at a BABIES party. Had it NOT have been a party then yeah he would NOT have gotten away with any of us just leaving with a zipped mouth. I find out the other night that he has his own version of what happened. And that was that he heard a bang that caught his attention, and it was my nephew banging the car into the walls... Now I really have to laugh at that one because I don't even know what he is talking about. "IF" he was banging the car against any walls then it was so he could pass through on the toy. Not just to go crashing into walls on purpose. He also said that Joseph hit the adult that was holding his baby. Well, I just mentioned what I saw going on. So if Joseph hit the adult then I nor any of us saw it. And, believe me I don't doubt that he would have hit her but we didn't see it. Still though I am NOT seeing how this justified what he did to my nephew. I mean was he racing to protect the adult from a 3 year old beating her up or just worried he may have had to do some paint touch ups? Finally though my favorite is him saying that we just sat there and didn't get up until we saw him coming over. Oh yes...we were like Oh No here comes the father hurry up and tell Joseph to stop putting his hand on the horn. Come on now NO one even saw the father until he was up in Joseph's face! But still he had the balls to say that both parties should have handled things differently... Again I have to laugh because I am not sure how we were suppose to handle it. Obviously I am not going to make a "good" parent in his eyes because what I saw going on looked as innocent as I wrote, and I wouldn't have gotten up any quicker then my sister did. Bottom line is even IF all he said did truly happen it still did not give him the right to do what he did. He was So WRONG and really has NO clue how wrong he really was!!
