I cant even believe that Idiot Jen won the HOH. For those who were confused by the last question, They showed the tea cup with the door open, So they really wanted to know how many galloons it would hold of water with the door open not closed. So without even knowing that Jen says 41... What idiot would have thought it ony held 41 galloons. Its HUGE! So she won HOH for being an idiot. If you want to know who she put up for eviction click here:

Whasssss Up?

I don't know what it is but I just cant stop saying Whassss Up, and I say it just like that Whasss Up... I don't know where I picked it up from or who I heard saying it but it is like embedded in my mind. And I just keep saying it, I can see someone like 5 times and I will say it everytime.. My Mother can be in the kitchen go outside and come back in and I say it again.. and she is always like, Whats Up? I just went outside what could be up... HELP.. I am now trying to stop myself when I am about to say it. I am going through Whasss Up? withdrawal. It's as if I have nothing else to say but that. I even went as far to say it to one of the Directors at work today.. I was like Hey! Whasss Up? luckily it was over the phone so I couldn't see the look on her face but she must either think that we are like BFF now or I am from the ghetto. Anyway, Whasssss Up, Whassss Up, Whassss Up, Wish me luck!

Nightmares

Am I the only one that still has nightmares? They are so horrible. Hence the reason I am up blogging at 4am when I have to wake up in like an hour and a half for work. There is nothing worse then being woken up in the middle of the night with your heart racing from a nightmare. Especially when you do awake there is that eery silence of being up in the middle of the night alone. So I decided to look up the causes of nightmares.
Axiety or Stress are the most common cause:

A major life event precedes the onset of nightmares in 60% of cases.
Illness with a fever
Death of a loved one (bereavement)
Adverse reaction to or side effect of a drug
Recent withdrawal from a drug such as sleeping pills
Effect of alcohol or excessive
alcohol consumption
Abrupt
alcohol withdrawal
Breathing disorder in sleep (sleep apnea)
Sleep disorders (narcolepsy, sleep terror disorder)

A nightmare is a dream occurring during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep that brings out feelings of strong, inescapable fear, terror, distress, or extreme anxiety. They typically occur in the latter part of the night and usually awaken the sleeper, who is able to recall the content of the dream. Nightmares tend to be more common among children and decrease in frequency toward adulthood. About 50% of adults experience occasional nightmares, women more often than men. Eating just prior to going to bed, which raises the body's metabolism and brain activity, may cause nightmares to occur more often. Adults who experience repeated nightmares that become a significant problem should seek help.

Night Swimming

Well, it wasn't quit night swimming, more like evening swimming. With the the heat wave my pool water was 90 degrees and I couldn't help but take a dip. The water was like bath water it was great after a long day of work. I cant wait for all the work for it to be thoroughly completed. The last process is starting on Thursday.

BigBrother quote from BB After Dark on Showtime....

"Joe says he needs to go down on someone, and at this point it doesn't matter who. Jessica says he wouldn't do Dick and Joe says, "Oh sure I would. When it comes to penis, I'm not too particular, a penis is a penis."
Just call me crispy.....
I am burnt to a crisp. Yesterday, Dena and Co. came over to go swimming, and then Tender's brother and wife joined us.. I was in the pool for a few hours but then decided to get out becasue I didnt want to get burned. Well I guess it was a little to later cause I was already sun-burned. I dont know what it is about my yard but you get such a burn back there in like no amount of time. Steven thinks its becasue the white fence around my littel yard makes a sun tanning reflector device and penetrates all the sun to my yard... Hey maybe its true!

This morning I had a manicure and pedicure appointment at AF Bennett. Nothing much to really report on this other then when I walked in, My Manicure and also my Pedicure girl had kissed me hello, and had my hair girl still been there she would have done so also. In all the years that I have been going there I never really thought twice about this happening, but for some reason yesterday while I was sitting and waiting for my appointment I saw customers walking in and out and no one was greeted with a kiss or were they kissed goodbye. Its not like I know them on a personal basis other then sitting and chatting with them while I am there. So why do I get the kiss? Is it because I give them a good tip or are they just happy to see me?

We are now on the 4th concrete company estimate. They all want a ridiculous amount of money to do this job. I literally have about a foot around the entire pool that needs concrete and they all want about 1600.00 to do this. and OH God all the excuses that they have and reasons of why they feel its such a hard job are endless. Not for anything but after seeing 4 guys jackhammer foot after foot of concrete and carry it through my entire house bucket after bucket, and then come back and do the same thing with 14 feet of dirt that was dug for the pool, I cant imagine mixing and pouring some concrete being a harder job. Workers are so lazy these days, no one wants to do anything anymore.

The 4th Of July always reminds me of all those loosers stuffing 164 Nathans franks in there mouth too win, I dont even know what they win but it couldnt be worth the consequence of having 164 hotdogs sitting in your stomach. Anyway I came across this website in honor of competitive eating events:

Happy 4th of July
Wasnt the weather gorgeous today? Nothing like a nice rainy miserable 4th of July!. Well, we still made the best out of the day with a nice BBQ. Dena, Joe & Steven attended the festivities.

Looks like the purchase of the summer for my community is Shed's. Everywhere I turn there is a shed in someone's yard, and not a little shed, but BIG, HUGE sheds. I live in a townhouse. We have minimal gardening, and even more minimal yard space. So why take up the room with a shed. But my real question is, What are they putting in these sheds? Cant be Law Mowers, Cant be pool supplies because oddly enough the people with them dont even have a pool. I doubt that it would be bikes or other outdoor sport type things because who would carry them up stairs and through a house and back down some stairs just to get it out of their house. Thats enough exercise on its own. So what are in these sheds???? I am determined to find out!

Ok, I activated the iPhone. I couldnt help it. Just staring at the cute little bag for 2 days was driving me crazy. I had to open it and touch it. and I am in LOVE. This phone really is amazing and it really does everything it is suppose to do effortlessly. You really have to be stupid not to be able to use this phone right out of the box. And it is so much smaller and lighter then I thought it would be. It really is a must have.

As you all know, when properly synchronized, Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon albumn makes an interesting soundtrack for The Wizard of Oz. See stills from the movie matched with the lyrics and a continous commentary pointing out the similarities between the two.

Today was a very exciting day, I went in my pool for the very 1st time. I cant beleive I have a pool again, its the greatest thing to have your own, becasue you know its clean and you know who's been in it. Steven joined me in the festivities today. Though the water was really cold (being it was just filled up) we still made the best of it. Only problem was there really was no way of getting in or out of the pool yet. And with all the rain it made a mud pond all around the pool. Steven was able to get in and out pretty easily, and I got in pretty easy as well. But the fun began when I had to get out. I was stuck in this pool. Steven of course was no help with him being in hysteria as I am desperately trying to get out of the pool, I was soon planning on spending the next few days in there because getting out looked hopeless. Eventually we came to an idea, and we put a milk crate inside the pool for me to step on, and then I had to be pulled out over the side of the ledge. It was really a site to be seen. I was the entertainment for my neighborhood because no one was able to hold back there laughter watching this event.

Friday, June 29, 2007

Tonight I waited on line at Apple in the Menlo Park mall with Steven to get an iPhone. I still dont even know if I want it but I figured that I mine as well just get it, and then I will have it in my possession for when I do decide. We only waited a bit over 2 hours, and it actually wasnt so bad. Except for all the loosers that we had to stand with, in particualar one guy kept saying "Hey, let me ask you a question" and beleive me he had ALOT of questions in those 2 hours. Then there was another man who kept thinking me and Steven had some kind of "In" with what was going on, and he stuck to use like glue, and everytime we spoke to each other, he asked what was going on. All in all it was a fun experience, and I am sure alot better then standing in line at the Staten Island Mall. They even served us bottled waters, and coffee as well as some iPhone brochures to read as we waited.

Happy Birthday!

Big Brother 8 "Twist"

The new Big Brother twist this year will be that the houseguests will be living with there worst enemies. As annoyed as I would be to have to live with my worst enemy, it would still be some what of a comfort to know someone else in the house. I was really hoping finally for a year where all 12 guests dont know each other like in the good ole' BB days. Above is a sneak peak of what the new house will look like.

OCD - Obsessive Chemical Disorder

Thank God I got this pool because I was running out of things to be OCD with. Its been up for a whole 2 days and I have checked the chemicals about 15 times so far.. and not only do I check the chemicals but I also have to skim it, and push any dirt off the floor into the filter... I also havent shut the filter off yet cause I am afraid something will happen to the water. I now have 3 different water testing kits, Yes 3.. One is the old fashion one -where u fill it with water and add the drops of red and yellow, the 2nd is test strips that u just dip in he water and then check the colors up against a chart and lastly is an electronic one that digitally tells you all your chemical levels.. And yes I use all 3 of them everytime... This is just all too confusing, adding PH (+), then its PH (-) then cholorine, ohhhh and stabilizer and algaecide. So many things for such a small pool. But it will be well worth it! Anyone for a swim?

Off The Wagon

I am having such a HARD time getting back on the WW wagon. I feel like everything is a distraction lately. And then when I am going to go back on it something happens during the course of the day and I am off it again. I have to say that I do feel like crap not being on the diet anymore so I just have to really push myself.

Coney Island Aquarium

Today we took Joseph to the Coney Island Aquarium for the 1st time. I still call it the Coney Island Aquriam even though technically its now the "NY Aquarium". We followed Toni, Steve, and Nicky there being I havent been there in YEARS. Ma & Da use to take me, and Dena there at least every week in the summer when we were kids, and would spend the nights over at there house. I think that Joseph realy enjoyed himself.. Especially the over head wave maker. He was more interested in looking at all the fish then I thought he would have been. Unfortunately he was also a little under the weather so he wasnt totally himself. But we will definately go back again and maybe Dena can come with me and Tender this time :)

Half Shirts

With the summer weather approaching all I see is women with fat stomachs wearing half shirts. I dont know if they are really half shirts or if their shirts are just short because they are trying to cover their stomachs with it. I know its hot outside but come on. Who is telling these people that they look good and better yet what kind of mirror are they using because I want one.

Pool # 2

Well after the last tidal wave we realized that this pool wasnt working out. So we are searching for a bigger and more stable pool and possibly more "neighbor" friendly.

Hair PILLSSSS

It would have been over a week now of taking the new hair pills. Only thing is I cant take them everyday because it is a HUGE process for me to cut them up in order for me to swollen them. They are the HUGEST pills I have ever seen. I think your throat needs to be the size of Kansas to swallow them. I have resorted to orderding a pill crusher so I can take them with food. Lets see how this goes.

Look Out for the Tidal Wave

Today was finally a nice day to use my new pool. I was off from work, the sun was beating down in my yard, all the chemicals were regulated - Ahhhhhh, a nice relaxing dip was looking great. So I take off my pool cover and it seems like the water is a bit higher on one side then the other.. So I go and get the pump thinking maybe it needed some more air. Well, no sooner did I turn around did I see a tidal wave of water rushing into my neighbors yard, knocking down rocks and pieces of fence - flooding out there entire backyard... My mother is running to grab one side of the pool trying to hold it up. Dena is holding the other side of it. It was extreme chaos. Luckily my neighbor was very understanding about it. We now have a huge gapping hole under my fence leading into my neighbors yard that needs to be repaired. Ugggggg is it winter yet.

Defensive Driving

Today me, Steven and my mother drove into Brooklyn for Defensive Driving Certificates. Michelle referred me to this shady women who gives out the certificates without having to sit for the 6 hour class. So we pull up to the closed insurance office in the china town part of Brooklyn, and squeeze through the gates that are almost all the way closed and enter the office. And there sits just your everyday mom making some xtra money on the side.. Ha Ha.... It was a nice and smooth transaction and couldn't have been more convenient.

He took out his gun and shot him.. LOL.

The Pool of All Pools

The Hair Saga Continues....

My dermatologist has recommended these vitamins for me. I read about 38 reviews on them before I ordered them, and so far everyone of the people are saying they noticed a difference in there hair in as little as 3 weeks. So I started taking them today. They are HUGE, I had to get a pill cutter for them, and you also have to take them twice a day. What do I have to loose?
P.S. They have one for men also.

Al fresco dining, despite the distractions

So on the front page of the Advance today was an article about a place that we eat lunch at quoted by a friend of mine... "It's nice when it's a spring day," said Michele Catapang as she spent her lunch hour at an umbrella-shaded seat at Grandma's Pizzeria in Rosebank. Catapang and colleagues work at nearby Edgewater Plaza. They recently chowed down on whole wheat and veggie pies at two self-service, outdoor tables.... Their view? An up-close view of the parking lot. HILARIOUS!!!

Brookhaven Obesity Clinic

Oh Dear Lord... Has anyone else seen "Inside Brookhaven Obesity Clinic"?
I came across this program on TLC and have been taping it every since. It is really inspiring me to get serious about losing weight. These individuals are severly morbidly obese and some are on the verge of death. They have significant health problems and most can't even walk. What is even more sad, is even though they are at this state, they still continue to over-eat and cheat by ordering take-out food-Pizza's and Chinese are being delivered to them in the hospital. My jaw was on the floor.

Here we go - Week 3

Ok, so my OCD has now got me starting a Sunday weigh in ritual.. First I wake up and weigh myself.. If I dont think its enough of a weight loss I go back and lay down for an hour, go to the bathroom, and weigh myself again. I then put on the same outfit that I have worn for the last 3 weeks for my weigh in's, and so I dont gain any extra ounces I then remove all my jewlery. I guess its working though - 3 more pounds down today.
